Maintenance tasks

 

​IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE TO MAINTENANCE, CONTACT THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR EACH HOUSE TO LET THEM KNOW YOU'D LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE AND CONFIRM THAT YOUR IDEA MATCHES THE MANAGEMENT PLAN.

WEEDS

  • Spray and/or chop out noxious weeks, remove debris to 'compost' pile over the stile on the road side of paddock

  • Weed all 'garden' or planted areas

  • Reduce FIRE RISK everywhere possible, especially kikuyu and planted areas up the hill behind houses

  • Keep the drain/water table beside the hill road clear of plants and debris

  • Spray kikuyu and fennel around drain/culvert under the entry gate and clear debris

  • clear fenceline between Bournevilles (red house) and us

  • Gather seaweed from the beach to mulch planting

  • Pull out poison or chop wilding pines (fell pines on Lot 2)

Clean house roofs - spray with Wet'n'Forget or similar, but MUST disconnect downpipes till after the next good rain 

Clean and paint buildings regularly and treat/prevent dry rot and general deterioration

Take a little time to do that extra cleaning or mending

Replenish rat bait in bait stations behind/outside buildings (NEVER inside houses)

UTILITY SHED ROOF PAINT

Garage toilet rust treatment and door paint

Keep house and garage spoutings clear of debris, weeds and sand
